This Privacy Policy explains what information The Chapel House LLC ("we," "us") collects through thesunshinechapel.com (the "Site") and in connection with bookings at Claire's Chateau, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this simple, because what we collect is simple.
1. Information We Collect
- Booking and contact details you give us: name, email address, phone number, Instagram handle (optional), and the details of your inquiry, such as event type, dates, guest count, and your message.
- Correspondence: emails, texts, and calls you exchange with us about your booking.
- Technical basics: our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, which is used for security and to operate the Site.
We do not run user accounts, we do not collect payment card details through the Site, and we do not use advertising trackers.
2. How We Use Information
- To respond to inquiries and manage bookings, scheduling, and payments.
- To keep business records we are required to keep, such as invoices and tax records.
- To send service messages about your booking. We do not send marketing emails unless you ask for them, and you can opt out at any time.
- To protect the Site, the Venue, and our guests, and to comply with law.
3. Who We Share It With
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make the Site and the business run, and only as needed:
- Vercel hosts the Site and processes standard server logs.
- Formspree processes booking form submissions and delivers them to our inbox.
- Google Fonts delivers the Site's typefaces; your browser requests font files from Google when the Site loads.
- Payment processors (such as Stripe or Square) handle deposits and payments when you book; your card details go directly to them and never touch our systems.
- Professional advisors and authorities where required by law or to protect legal rights.
4. Cookies
The Site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Any cookies that appear are strictly functional ones set by our hosting infrastructure to serve the Site securely.
5. Data Retention
We keep inquiry and booking records for as long as needed to manage your booking and to satisfy legal, accounting, and insurance requirements, and then delete or anonymize them. If you inquire but never book, you can ask us to delete your inquiry at any time.
6. Your Choices & Rights
- You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we are legally required to keep).

7. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information through the Site, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS, and we limit access to your information to the people who need it to serve you. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to a small business handling simple contact information.
9. Links to Other Sites
The Site links to third-party services such as Instagram. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to review their policies.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Material changes affecting active bookings will be communicated by email.
